Dr Kitayama: We have being treating these patients with a new method. It uses combination chemotherapy using systemic chemotherapy and intraperitoneal chemotherapy together. Intraperitoneal chemotherapy is effective but it needs to be repeated many times using a subcutaneously implanted intraperitoneal access port. Using this apparatus， we can do the intraperitoneal chemotherapy repeatedly and it works very well for peritoneal metastasis. Even where there is very severe metastasis， we can get a complete response in some cases. So again， we are able to prolong survival for patients with palliative surgery and especially where there are peritoneal metastases.

 

　　Dr Kitayama：对这类患者我们目前有一个新的处理方法，那就是全身化疗和腹腔化疗一起使用的联合化疗。腹腔化疗是有效的，但须使用一个皮下植入的腹腔接入口反复进行。通过这个装置我们可以反复进行腹腔化疗，非常适用于腹膜转移的患者。即使对于非常严重的转移，在某些情况下也能达到完全缓解。因此，通过姑息性手术治疗我们可以延长患者的生存期，特别是存在腹膜转移的患者。
